Inspired by his father’s example, John has been interested in a career in the financial services industry since he was a teenager. After receiving a bachelor of science degree in family financial planning from the University of Georgia, he worked as a financial advisor first at Wachovia Securities, then Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Attracted to the fee-based, problem-solving approach of Patton Albertson & Miller, he joined the firm in 2011.
John is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, and has earned the designation of Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ (CDFA™). John serves on the Boy Scouts of America-Central Georgia Council executive board, for which he serves as a member of the endowment committee. He and his wife Katherine have two children.
