Partner

Lifelong Chattanooga resident Ricky Supan came to the financial services industry after briefly considering a career in medicine. After earning his bachelor’s degree in chemistry with a minor in biology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, he decided that an MBA would better serve his interests in the financial field. Ricky began work with SunTrust Bank 17 years ago, steadily progressing from entry-level portfolio manager to investment strategist.

His wide range of experience included basic investment management to complex estate planning and wealth transfer strategies. Through these experiences, Ricky gained great personal satisfaction in helping clients achieve their wealth planning goals. With his strong desire to provide clients with comprehensive and effective wealth planning strategies free from the conflicts that exist with other providers, Ricky was a perfect fit to join Patton Albertson & Miller’s new Chattanooga office, which opened in November 2012. He looks forward to demonstrating the Patton Albertson & Miller difference in the Chattanooga market.

Ricky served as treasurer of Little Miss Mag, a United Way agency providing early childhood education and day care for low-income families. He is a member of the artist advisory committee for the Riverbend Festival and board chair for the Association of Visual Artists, which connects the visual arts with the community at large.

Serves on the board for Greenspaces, an organization focused on sustainable practices. He has served on an industry Diversity Council in Chattanooga. Both Ricky and his wife Angie are very active in civic and cultural events in the Chattanooga area.
