With over three decades of executive experience in the financial services industry, Jimmy Patton has an extensive background working with corporate, middle market and closely held business clients, giving him a unique perspective on the wealth management issues they face. His professional experience includes 23 years with Truist Bank (formerly SunTrust Banks, Inc.) where he held various positions, most recently as executive vice president and commercial line of business manager for the Georgia Region. Previously, he served as president and chief executive officer of SunTrust Bank, Middle Georgia.
A graduate of the University of Georgia, Jimmy has held many leadership roles in business, community, civic, and governmental organizations.
Currently, Jimmy serves on the board of directors for American Health Advantage of Georgia, Inc., B&D Industrial Corporation, and he is vice-chair of the board of trustees of the J. Bulow Campbell Foundation.
He has previously served as: chairman of the board of trustees of First Presbyterian Day School, Inc., chairman of the board of trustees of the United Way of Central Georgia, Inc., member of the board of trustees of the Community Foundation of Central Georgia, treasurer and member of the board of trustees of Leadership Georgia, member of the University of Georgia’s Terry School of Business alumni board, member of the board of directors of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, member of the State of Georgia Workforce Investment Board, chair of the board of trustees of the Middle Georgia State University Foundation (formerly Macon State College), member of the board of directors of On Point (a youth development organization), and the executive committee of the board of trustees of New Town Macon. For five years, he served as a commissioner of the Macon-Bibb County Georgia Planning & Zoning Commission and he served four years as the Ward 5, Post 2 member of the Macon, Georgia City Council.
When he’s not working, Jimmy can be found on Lookout Mountain playing golf.
